An exploration of colour and solitude, this piece balances the cool depth of blue-green water with the unexpected luminosity of a pink horizon. A solitary swimmer, marked by a vivid pink bobble hat, becomes both focal point and quiet counterpoint within the vastness of the sea.
 
Created from my experience of year-round sea swimming in East Sussex, the work reflects the shifting temperament of open water - at times bracing and expansive, at others contemplative and still. It speaks to immersion, resilience, and a profound sense of belonging within the natural world.
